London Film & Television Academy and Institute of Media Sciences Islamabad (IMS) signed MOU and agreed, IMS as representative of London Film and Television Academy (LFTA) in Pakistan. LFTA also authorized IMS to negotiate all business activities regarding to admission in London film and television Academy, film productions, and other related activates.

The college was established in 2002 with the aim to provide high quality courses for students from all over the world. It was started initially as a Language school teaching the English Language Courses (ESOL) and since then has considerably developed and expanded its academic programmes and services.
